katie Jarvis was 16 when she started filming fish tank and she had no intention of becoming an actress until a chance encounter at a train station when director andrea Arnold. she was having a heated argument with her boyfriend when the director approached her and offered her an audition for the film.
fish tank is a film about an angry, disenfranchised teen and at the time katie clearly embodied the character while fighting with her boyfriend.
later on after filming she attended the cannes film festival but has not yet acted in another film after having a baby at 17. effectively stunting her career.
